报告题目：Some pictures of representation theory and harmonic analysis

报告摘要：Representation theory plays an important role in modern mathematics (e.g. number theory) and modern physics (e.g. quantum mechanics, string theory). It is also a main part of Langlands Program. In this talk, we will try to present a "basic framework" and describe some "global pictures" of representation theory and harmonic analysis of Lie groups.

Gang LIU is an associate professor in Élie Cartan Institute of Université de Lorraine (France). He received his Ph.D in 2011 in Université de Poitiers (France). Before his position in Élie Cartan Institute, he did postdoctoral research in Germany: Max Planck Institute, University of Hannover, University of Paderborn. He also had some short-term visits in several institutions: University of Tokyo (Japan), Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), Aarhus University (Denmark) and Chinese Academy of Sciences (China). Liu's research interests include representation theory, harmonic analysis, and mathematical finance.
