Introduction about Prof. Paul O’brein
Prof. Paul O’brein group works at the interface of chemistry and material science and benefits from access to facilities of both the School of Chemistry and the Manchester Materials Science Centre. Its strength arises from the joined venture of two well-distinguished departments that provide in house laboratory facilities for research and fabrication of novel materials. The majority of the group’s research work has been concerned with developing novel chemical routes for semiconductor nanomaterials in forms such as thin films and nanocrystals。
POB's research interests are mainly concerned with semiconducting nanomaterial and span interfacial areas of chemistry and materials science. The group is actively involved in precursor design and synthesis, Chemical vapour depositions, Chemical bath depositions, single source approaches to nanocrystals and interfacial deposition.
