匈牙利数学研究所高级研究员Dr. A. Kroo来我校讲学

　　会上，Dr. A. Kroo研究员深入浅出地介绍了齐次多项式逼近连续函数的相关性，提出并以三种模型证明了凸体下关于其次多项式逼近的若干猜测，最后Dr. A. Kroo重点介绍了在几类特殊凸区域边界上逼近的最新研究结果。会后，他热情回答了在场师生的提问。

　　人物简介：Dr. A. Kroo是匈牙利数学研究所高级研究员，现任Alfred Renyi Mathematical Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences 高级科学顾问，Budapest University of Technology and Economics全职教授。曾在中密歇根大学、得克萨斯大学、南佛罗里达大学、老道明大学、肯特州立大学等著名大学担任教授。先后获 Grunwald Prize、Alexits PrizeRenyi 、Prize 、Academy Prize,目前任《Journal of Approximation Theory》、《East Journal on Approximations》《Periodica Mathematica Hungarica》、《Jaen Journal on Approximation》编委。
